I smashed my nose up 5 years ago in a pathetic attempt to jump my stumpy whilst clipped in. Pulled the rear wheel up but didnt pull up the front resulting in a nasty face/nose plant losing several teeth and my septum.
Fast forward 5 years and 2 x septum operations and i still cant breathe greatly whilst riding an lying on my back. Ive ben using the breathe right strip and they work a treat.
Ive been to the specialist again and they have now said that i can have an op to implant some of my ear cartlidge to my nose to support it and make the air flow better.
Im 46 and not sure i want to go through another procedure what with the loss of riding time and recovery from the op etc and taking a bit of cartlidge from my ear freaks me out more than anything.
Any thoughts to help me decide if i should have the op or not?

Surely you would end up with a disfigured ear? Is this affecting your life at all? I would be reluctant unless the breathing issues really bother you. Not an area of healthcare I know anything about tho
