    So, I leave tomorrow to go to France. With the road bike. to ride the Étape next Monday. I haven't really done enough training, so it's going to be a slog.

    I speak to Dr North this afternoon, and informs me that (1) one of her colleagues has suspected swine flu and (2) Dr North is feeling a bit "peaky".

    "Peaky? What do you mean peaky, woman? If you're going to make me ill after I've ridden up and down the Cat & Fiddle however many s*dding times, I shall not be best pleased."

    Was my reasoned response.
