Hi. I have a kinesis decade h/tail, running a shimano Alfine rear hub. The chain keeps comming off which is a pita. I have adjusted the rear wheel to retension the chain, but it’s not helped. Any solutions? Running a race facesingle ring up front.
    cheers

Check chain line. Adjust by moving big ring to middle ring location (or vice versa) or getting a dished/flat rear sprocket.

Running a single ring up front, so how do I check the chain line?

Check by looking down the length of the chain, change by fitting ring either side of the spider.

Of the sprockets with 3 tabs, see how some are flat and some dished:

That might give you a neat solution.

I had this problem until I discovered that the cog on an Alfine is a narrow one, designed for a 9 speed chain I think. If you are using a singlespeed chain, then it is not wide enough to hold it on. I now use Sturmey Archer cogs, such as this click me and have no more problems.
