To be fair, it is a good article and he comes across well, unlike on the cr@p TV show.

My respect for him went up substantially on reading that. Very respectable average speed on a good distance. Very tidy for a grumpy old bloke.

The british airways mag (I was bored on a flight from Edinburgh to London at 6am one morning, please forgive me) had a article about a week in teh life of him, and from that he coverd about 50-60 miles over 2-3 days as well as running a multitude of businesses and filming this series of the apprentice. Now I have now excuses whern I say I had no time to go and do a 10km ride round Carron Valley most nights after work!!!!

Are his brake levers at a funny angle, prefer mine much lower.

Grass is neat though, can’t see logos on the tyres, not too many spacers on the steerer…

That bike is gorgeous. Fair play to him, if I had 7k to spend on a road bike, then I’d buy one like Valverde’s too (assuming Cannondale wouldn’t make another one like Pippo Pozzato’s). Sounds like he rides on the flat too much but not bad for a guy his age who’s come late to it.

He would do better in quieter clothing though I feel.

No it doesn’t! That’s no bigger than a 53.

I’d love a Prince, but not in those god awful colours, have to be the red/white, or the blue/white. And Shimano, none of that Italian tat! 😉

Fair play to him though, he needs a more expensive helmet and glasses.
