Had my first ride with air forks today only ridden coils so far. I could hear air moving each time that he fork was compressed, is that normal or will I come to a gory end?

Quite normal to hear a bit of “swoosh woosh” with Rockshox forks (well some of them at least), what forks you got?

Edit – at least sounds like air – but it’s probably oil/air in the damping part….

Yeah you’ll be hearing the oil going through the damper, it’s not air.
