Visiting Afan this weekend and can’t find any info online about the cafe. Is it still open and run by the school dinners type operator?

Are there showers on site still too?

    thanks!

New operator, started a few weeks ago. It was very good when we were there over the bank holiday, better than it used to be, although admittedly I only had cake. Dunno about showers.

The cafe is now run by a private operator. Quite a different experience in that not only do they serve jacket spuds with exotic things like salad, but the salad contains strawberries and figs. Figs FFS!

Showers are now out of action. This is because the main centre is not staffed any more and they can’t sell them to you! NPT Council have really gone a step too far here – they just need a coin operated unit to sell tokens and it would be problem solved.

We’re riding at Afan on Sat so good news if the cafe has improved since we were last there in Jan of this year. Heading to a B&B so not quite so worried by the showers but agree it’s a bit poor but that’s the cost of the government’s obsession with the deficit and reducing it quickly.
