Yep been lots of threads about this in the past but until the sever upgrade the search on this site is total Sh!te
(Tried it & the 1st link was to the same question from 10 months ago!).
So looking for some-where close to Afan for a couple (me and the better half & not camping!), some-where to eat close by & any recommendation for non-bike stuff to do locally?
Non-bike for the g/f as she will do some cycle but not up for cycling all day.
I was recommended the Afan Lodge by someone on here as somewhere to eat, and I can recommend it too! Wonderful cheese plate ...mmm... and they do accomodation too which looks nice. Don't know ref non bikey, maybe give tourist info a call.
google the queens hotel b&b in afan, have stayed before and is ideal, local (4 min ride from drop off) and reasonable, they are v bike freindly. they will also point you in the direction of where to go to eat etc.
We stayed at the Afan Lodge which is a nice hotel with a decent bar/restaurant. There's not much for the better halves to do to be honest. Mine went swimming at the local pool which looks out over the mountains, then spent the rest of the time reading a book. The old railway line has been tarmac'd and we rode up and down the old line for a good few miles... it's soooooo boring after doing the Wall/Whites Level etc but the wife liked the fact that the old railway line was simple and easy to ride.

Ditto that - I've just booked there again.
Otherwise the Bryn Bettws log cabins are great (if a bit expensive for what they are) and right on the Wall trail
Food-wise, the colliers is good if you're at the log cabins

Anyone hired one of the Cottages @ Bryn Teg??
Well I just have for our next trip in March but haven't actually been before (always been booked already so just did their B&B). The guys who were there last time said it was good though.
We were a group of 10 and used Afan Cottage, which is a perfectly suited place for MTB groups inc. lockable outside bike storage, hose, 2 x showers etc.
