building up a new frame and have got a slx chainset 22/32/44 already. was thinking of an xt rear cassette and chain also rear mech but stuck with what config on cassette chain to get. also do i need long or short cage rear mech or does it matter.? cheers

11/32 is fine with that combo chainset

excellent thanks for that,was also considering swopping it for a double with bash 36/22, do trail centres etc and reasonably fit, didnt know if id have enough of a range of gears etc does anyone regret going to double rings?

massive thread about it 22/36 is a great combo that loses the top 2 gears of a 44t chainring (use an 11-34 cassette)
