A query as I can’t find a straight answer elsewhere.

I have ebooks that I’d like to download to my Nook, but I need to convert the ascm files to ePub files using Digital Editions. Now the easy thing would be to simply download Digital Editions to my PC. However, i’m at work and they won’t let me download anything.

Which leads me to the question, can I do this online without downloading the software. I guess I’m looking for an online converter of some kind. Possible?

I’d never even head of an ascm file before, so I had a Google.

There is a lot of confusion about this file type as the .acsm is not your actual eBook. It is just a link to your eBook that allows a program like Digital Editions to download the actual book, When Digital Editions sees the .acsm file it will automatically download the PDF or ePUB file, which is the actual eBook,

So what you ask is impossible, as you don’t actually have the ebook yet, without going through ADE first.
