I don’t often say this about art but they are bloody brilliant. I really like the style of them. Now I wonder how much a print would be and if there is any way I can convince Mrs_Ache to let me put one up.

Like this. Reminds me of the designs and situations in Half-Life 2. Some of the paintings are signed with a date of 2012.

    Dystopian Roger Dean…

    Sort of steampunky.

Only with Swedes in flares and anoraks rather than young Victorian ladies in revealing corsets.

They are good. Like the juxtaposition between the older Swedish cars and the futuristic working machines.

It’s the plausibility of the scene setting that makes them just a little bit edgy to me. A bit like:

mmmmmmmmmm…I don’t like these. I find them disjointed and unevocative for the most part.

Perhaps this one I like but maybe just because it sums up how I feel about his work, ‘What the bicycle is that! It doesn’t make any sense.’

Technically, very good. I like the way he paints people (cars too), but the subject matter doesn’t do anything for me. Like book covers for Philip K Dick books.

Reminds me (a lot) of the Syd Mead books I had as a kid. Also makes me wonder where they went to as they’re prob worth a few bob now. Also makes me wish I hadn’t sold my yellow Mercedes T1.

Great find. Can’t find much info about the artist though, when were these painted?

[edit]there’s an “About Me” section on his website… Any more info?

I much prefer the ones that only hint of something – ones where you have to fill in the gaps. I don’t like the ones with actual robots/dinos/etc.
