If it is the 1.9 you’ll be luck to catch anything.

No, but it will allow the esteemed inhabitants of Lordshill to throw objects directly at you as you drive past.

Based on WCA’s recent train related postings, am I the only one who expect this thread to end with “be able to fit my bike in to so I can go to the Big Bike Bash”?

I had a couple of them a few years ago.

The 2.8 is a great engine. And the wider body on the facelift ones look great.

The M Roadster and M Coupe are both great, but you don’t really need them to have a great drive, just avoid the 1.9 and head straight for the 2.8 wide body models.

Of course it is the 2.8, I am not that far out of the closet

    I’ve driven an M-coupe.

They are an absolute riot, every roundabout was an adventure.

Another friend had a 2.8 for a long time, nice car just the right side of quick without being scary

Silver but not wide body. Just a summer toy before I rebody it as a Maserati 300S from the 1950’s later this year

The Z3 breadvan is very cool – esp in the M2 guise
    The Z4 is nearly macho

The normal Z3 – did you get it in pink?

Perfectly good car the 2.8, why bother butchering it into something it isn’t?

Hope it’s got the auto box.

    And summer is here btw.

OK really interested in the Maserati kit? Can you supply some detail? I could be rushing out for one as its simply a stunning car.

Just got back from picking it up from Basingstoke. Basignstoke! I just need to lie down in a warm scented bath with some candles while I recover.

Back with details of the Maserati once I feel up to it darlings

    Current car:

    Target Car:

    Method:

The guy at Tribute Automitive does this to MX5s to make them look like Ferrari 250s and avoid IVA rules

And he does this to Triumphs to make them look like D-Types

    The Plan:
I am going to use bits of the D-Type and bits of the Mistral and A352 that he has to create a car ‘inspired’ by the period. Not a direct replica or copy but something with similar lines but the modern drive train and cockpit from the Z3.

I am heading down to chat with Chris next week to work out the details.

Nice. Back when they first came out I was doing IT training and had a contract showing BMW dealers how to use their systems. I pulled the short straw and had to fly over to the Isle of Man to do theirs. Job only took a couple of hours but flights put me there all day so me and a salesman took the new Z3 out and did a few laps of the TT. Great fun. Must put one or a Z4 on my shortlist, not driven one since.
