I’m thinking about making an offer on a old victorian terraced house. I found a few things in the loft when doing a longer viewing, it was raining which helped.

The main beam (purlin) is cracked and the main roof is bowed
Rear section of roof is bowed and the rafters are very short against the wall plates
Some dampness on a few rafters from the top down

I like the place but haven’t made an offer. Should I make an offer than get a general or specific structural survey then try haggle or tell the seller now?
