I did! I keep blankets in the car, so tried them straight away – soon as the wheels got to the end of the blankets… whizz… anyway all sorted now.
Here’s what it was like when I went back (the blue Omega is still there!)

Do those people actually need to go out though? I was supposed to be driving from Bristol to London tonight, as it’s not vital I get to London this weekend I’ve decided to cancel and stay in. It may only be a bit of snow, but the sensible option is to only travel if vital.
