Either 3dsMax or Windows has just deleted the Autoback folder that contained the file I’ve been working on for the last three days (I know, I shouldn’t have been working from the Autoback folder). It’s gone. Disappeared. Kaput. Not in the recycle bin. GONE. It even managed to do this whilst still in 3dsMax (though working on a different file).

Where has it gone? How can it just disappear? The shortcuts are even still there, I’M NOT IMAGINING IT! I’m not! IT WAS REAL!

And breathe.

On the other hand, the exquisite schadenfreude has really brightened my afternoon.
