went out to my van this morning to set off to me the lads to ride cutgate…
for some stupid reason, i forgot to take my bike out of the van on friday night……….doh
anyhow, rear doors have been forced with a bar/jemmie, and this is missing.

doubt i will get it back, but if you are local to leeds and see it, please let me know.

anyway, i sat crying for 10 mins and thought i would go ride anyway…got out the ventana and it turned into a not too bad day.

even met a fellow stw'r on cutgate (jonedwards)

did cutgate both way's, it is very dry and fast and fun…. 8)

Nightmare. I know what that feels like, and it's not good.

Now, the question is will you get a direct replacement, or try something else? With your track record…

bad thing is it is not insured in the van out of works time….bugger.

but i have a nice stash of moola ready for something else.

Nightmare. I know what that feels like, and it's not good.
Too right its like someone has killed a loved one. Good on you Tony for not spending all day brooding & getting out on a ride.

It will be easy to spot as it is just huge. And if a small guy tries to ride it it will just look odd. I saw a guy on an XL Kona bike. It just sticks out as the guy had the saddle as low as possible to reach pedals and the layback seatpost was turned front to back so he would reach the bars 🙂

Hope You'll find them and show them some rugby tackling skills 😉

Ton – just out of interest….I know it wasn't insured through the van insurance, but what about your home insurance? You never know, give em a call.

Where do all of these stolen bikes go to?
Presumably not to clued up cyclists, but more likely to people who use them to get to the shops once a month?
How are they sold – word of mouth?
I ask as I had 2 stolen this week, and would like some clues as to where to look for them.
An in-law does car boots most Sundays, and doesnt think they would turn up there, he says he never sees any 'good' bikes for sale only 20 year old raleighs.
Ebay would be a contender, but having set up a search, it seems bikes of this quality are all sold by genuine owners.
Any other ideas?

bad news mate esp as its just been built. Will keep em peeled round east leeds and when im out and about. Will be hard to shift i reckon being not very common and being huge lol. Hope you get it back mate
