Hi all, a quick Q, does the quality of the picture improve if you have a better internet connection?
I currently have Virgin BB 10mb, which speed tester says It’s as near as dam it spot on, so would it be any better if I go to 20mb or even 50mb BB?

    Thanks in advance
    Cheers.

I would be awfully surprised if they actually pushed 1MB/sec video so I doubt it. Maybe HD video but even then I don’t think so.

Skyplayer is SD content at best and (although my slow connection is nothing to judge by) looks pretty rubbish on my tv.

Thanks chaps, can anyone explain why I might want to upgrade my Broadband?
I see lots of advertising saying that faster is better, it obviously is, but if stuff is streamed at a slower rate than I currently get the why bother?

    Cheers.

Downloading & streaming music/video streaming, torrent files, etc – you’ll see a small benefit for all these, but probably not much to make it worth it if you’ve already got a true 10meg connection.
