    why is it sad for anyone other than his family and friends but why are you all sad? not being funny, just wondering…. i've played for 25 years, can't see how this affects me. it's like the diana thing……..

    i couldn't care less for the monarchy,but les paul did help to change music forever.not just with the les paul.he also designed his own guitar effects as well,before they were commonplace.

    Les also designed the first 'sound on sound' recorder – which in my book is his ultimate achievement.

    I have a les paul guitar too – its very nice so again thanks Les for that

    Its been on the cards for a long time, a true pioneer, I'm happy that he received recognition before he passed.
