my colleague fitted 29×2.1 tyres in a Surly Straggler on AC Wide lightning. (Fatties Fit Fine). it did rub a bit of paint off on occasions though

Running some 1.75 on my crosser atm. Going to put them on my carbon hoops for an upcoming trip as they’re a bit wider than the plus sons.

So mine is really just a rigid mountain bike, with slightly droopy bars (upside-down OGs for the moment, may go for some dirt drops or jones loops in future). Can be used as a full tourer/bikepacker as it has all the mounts, and plenty of clearance. The geo means it will cope off road very well without having to go too gingerly, but it is light enough (just over 25lbs) to be swift on road. It’s also a budget build as I had the drivetrain, fork, tyres, and brakes already.

Also: the wall/path/garden is not mine 🙂
