    I know XT & XTR work fine from personal use. I know of folks using SRAM successfully as well. Generally you want high clamp, bottom pull, 28.6mm. Some of the 'dual pull' designs have bits which may foul the rear tyre if using a large rear tyre. Don't forget you can move the EBB to optimise the position of the FD. Usually high or low in line with the seat tube works best.

    I'm using a 2×9 setup on mine, with a double specific SLX front mech. 22/32 chainrings.

    Had to move the EBB so that the BB was at the very highest position to avoid the mech cage hitting the chainstay though either larger chainrings or standard triple front mech may make that less of an issue.
