I have borrowed a HRM and done some interval sessions on the turbo. My max rate got to 192!

Am I about to die? No pain at all, and I have definitely felt worse when climbing up some big hills. At 40, is this a good or bad thing?

My resting rate is around 60bpm.

It's about right for a reasonably fit individual. usually 220 minus your age, but that's just an average for the whole population.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry. I'm 2 years older and still hit the 190's running without too much stress. Same resting pulse as ton.
So we're either perfectly normally, or both about to keel over 🙂

ton – are you going into hibernation??

I gave up with my HRM, it was always beeping at me like I was about to die.
