    'The Machinist' with Christian Bale

Almost as disturbing was his transformation for the next role in 'Batman Begins' – in the special features he's shown before he got back DOWN to size for the filming – went from skeletal to Arnie-rival in super short time. He says 'stuffing my face, lifting heavy weights…' – yeah, for about 6 months. Dedication.
Can't be good for you though.

He's a strapping lad, like in 'American Psycho' and to cope with the Trevor Reznik role in 'The Machinist', he lost over 4 stone in weight, the most ever lost by an actor for a leading role. Still, he put it on again …. and then some, for 'Batman Begins'.

    Anyone seen this?

For a zero-budget docu-drama it packs a hell of a punch, and a big contrast to the way nuclear war was treated in films like The Omega Man. Can be watched for free on Google video.

Threads – BBC 80s nuclear war docu drama – Brrrr

The image of the woman pissing herself with fear sticks with me (and not in a good way 😕 )

Audition – bizarre in the way the first half played out like some sort of light comedy drama then changed gears somewhat into tortureporn – gulp -the foot amputation with piano wire!

Bale in the latest Terminator film is poor. Then again the whole film is utter pants.

    I found Event Horizon disturbing.
