    Which map datum should i be using – WGS 84 or OS? Also should WAAS be enabled?

    In your GPS select OS for the datum, it’ll probably select the british national grid projection automatically. This will make sure your position is calculated using the same numbers as the OS maps. WGS84 will leave you about 200 yards out, usually to the north west.

    Yes, WAAS should be enabled. WAAS is a system of ground based stations which use their fixed position and received GPS signals to generate atmospheric corrections which your GPS uses to improve accuracy. It’s called EGNOS in europe, WAAS in the US, same thing.
