I currently have a 9×3 shimano deore drive train and i’m looking to upgrade to a 10×1 zee drive train.

Can I use a 10speed cassette on a bike that came with a 9 speed one from stock? dropouts are 142mm..

Goes without saying that i’ll be upgrading the whole system apart from the hub.

Will a 10 speed cassette be to big for my 9 speed hub?

    Cheers.

    It will fit perfectly fine.

it will fit without any problems. i’m pretty sure that all cassettes are the same width but to fit more cogs onto a cassette they cog width is reduced so the cassette overall uses the same space.
i went from an 8 speed cassette to a 10 without any problems
