Am I right in thinking that using any Sram 9 speed shifter with a shimano 10 speed rear clutch mech will shift correctly on my 9 speed shimano rear cassette?

I just want as cheap a way as possible to keep my chain on a little more often than not on my 2010 stumpjumper which doe not have ISCG tabs for a decent chain guide.

    Thanks

Does it have any ISCG tabs? If not you can use a spacer mount that replaces a BB Spacer.

Combined with a c5.5mm spacer under the cable yes. It will shift alright.

If you want to fire me your address, I’ve got a wee spacer I machined for my old bike that’ll convert the shimano mech to run with the sram shifter, just needs a longer bolt and a washer
