Just been quoted that today, one days work for three blokes incl. materials. Reasonable?
That’s on top of the £1000 ive just spent on having the garden flagged over.
EDIT : That’s for a new fence BTW

Indeed, is it an 80 foot fence with a 100 foot Birch?

Six panels + posts, panels are big ones six ft tall. I can’t shift the tree myself or get the fence parts in as I don’t have access to a wagon so I have to pay someone. Fence is 8 panels long but two are staying.
£600 for the fence and £100 to remove the tree debris (cut it down today)

Have you got a problem with people making a living?
I work with a guy who seems to think he is a charity 🙄
Hopefully for not much longer 😉

Eh? It’s a quote for work, not a starting price for bartering. Client starts that guff with me and i walk.

Fair enough – looks like a good quote then!
He’s the brother of the lady who laid my flagstones in the garden, happy with that work.

Is he insured for the tree work? Trees don’t always fall where they should.

I had a 20ft section of tree/shrub line reduced and two 3ft stumps removed for £450. It was a comparable quote across 3 are company’s this one with a 5% mates mates rate discount. 1.25 days work for two chaps and equipment including a chipper.

    Your seems fair tbh op.

Tree is already down, myself and a friend dropped it and chopped it this afternoon. Just a lot of rubbish to shift now which is something I can’t do.
