    I’m going to South Africa next week for six weeks 🙂 , but due to a timetable change on the way back, I now have a 6/7 hour gap between my internal flight landing at Jo’burg airport and my flight home.

    Any ideas about stuff to do to kill time, or is just a case of find seat, open book, read…

    Buy overpriced trinkets in ‘Out of Africa’

    I don’t think the airport is near enough to anything to make it worth stepping outside and have to admit I always just sit in the lounge eating & drinking.

    You could catch the new train to Sandton City for a bit of shopping and a few beers. I havnt travelled on it personally but I have heard only good reports. Relatively cheap too in £ terms.
