OK… so I don’t need it but am ummming and ahhhing about a 5 spot. Question is what’s changed over the years? One I’ve seen is an 05 one. Is there any difference between these and the newer versions?

gratuitous pics of 5 spots that you love appreciated too!

blimey, huge bag of changes going on there. horst link, non horst link (tnt i think) and then dw rear end. from dw rear end the head tube started out as inch and an eighth and is now 44mm and a few subtle changes to boot.
Which are you looking at and what do you expect? i had an early xce (precursor to the 5 spot) i now have an rfx with five inch travel plates on it. rfx is iirc a heavier tube set for ‘burlier’ riders or riding.
best place to ask for proper ‘homer’ knowledge is over on mtbr.com turner forum.
