    Just seen the new colour ones on the on-one site and I must say, the orange is looking yummy. And £135… serious winter SS bargain-tastic price.

    So, does anyone run 110mm forks on theirs?
    What sized seatpost? 27.2mm like my old Inbred?
    Anyone got a new colour one built up I can have a perv over?
    Anyone running one SS?

    Off to see what I can flog on ebay now to raise £135!

    Its going to be for gnarly stuff so like the slightly overbuilt nature of the 456 SS plus it'll probably have bigger forks on it when I get something new for the Insanity Cruz.

    Don't think anyone has one built up yet – mine should be here next week.

    Seatpost is 27.2 – I'm gonna have U turn Pikes on mine.

    Now, I thought the whole point of the summer season frames was to allow you to run a shorter fork but still have the benefits of a slack head angle (as you would get on a 'normal' 456 with long forks).

    Everyone seems to be talking about sticking big forks on 'em … that's what the 456 is for.

    The On One website quotes the SS frame as having a head angle of 66.6 degrees with a 5" fork … no one wants to go slacker than that now … do they?

    Right, I've just been out into the workshop and my *findings are;

    Summer Season, 100mm Toras = 67 degree head angle

    PA, 130mm Drop offs = 69.5 degree head angle

    NS Bitch, 170mm 66's = 65 degree head angle

    The summer season and PA both ride really well up and down … you only want to be going down on the NS 😉

    DH bikes have slacker head angles. I am thinking i will run the Pikes at around 120mm though most of the time but we'll see.

    My (& Tons) old Summer Season has 130mm revs and it was ace, then i got into the Pike "hype", over bike'd it and made it worse.

    It was better at 125 to 130mm and the revs were nice and light compared tot he Pikes.
