11 Speed M7000 or M8000 medium cage work best.

    Yes 11 speed not 10.

And that works ok with 10 speed shifters?

Member your chain might be a bit short if changing from an older set up, so new chain would be a good idea.

It was you who posted a pic of mech stretched almost up to the chainstay wasn’t it? yeah don’t do that.

Yup perfectly better than 10 speed with rad cage.

10spd shadow xt m785 works fine with a sunrace 42t on one of my bikes but on the other the same set up needs a wolf tooth extender thingy.

Worth the effort though. I’ve never ridden an 11spd but I’ve saved a bunch of cash not upgrading everything!

Edit – it’s called a goat link! Took a while but i got there in the end…

You might need to take out the small washer under the B screw to get the cage wound out enough, or stick a longer screw in there to clear. I had to with an SLX and XT Long Cage Mech and a 11-42T

Mine (11-42t) is working OK with an older XT 10 speed Shadow (no clutch) – b-screw wound pretty much all the way in.
