    my brain cant get past:

    Middlburn RS7
    Middleburn RS8
    Shimano M442 cheapos and
    Truvativ Firex cheapos

other than those, who else still makes top-end square taper chainsets in 4-arm 104bcd (not talking cheese junk ones or roadie ones)?

    any ideas?

I’ve just fitted some NOS XT’s onto one of my bikes.

Ive currently got these Stu – the XT739s used to have an outer ring that was the carrier for the middle and the inner. I tracked down an aftermarket converter to 5arm, but I prefer to use 4 arm rings and am looking for a replacement. Even though XT are great, will probably end up with middleburn, but just want to see what else is out there too.

Not sure what model these are but they’re 4 bolt 104’s

I even had an old Race Face square BB in the garage that has been running on the same bearings for years. What’s more when they do wear out it’s a p1ss easy job to change em.

Tune do one I think, not sure about the BCD though.

    White Industries

Some of the FSA ones aren’t too bad.

Other than that, Every bike shop is an Opportunity? Go in and ask, I guess
