    yay or na? sounds alright to me but it’s been a couple of years since a set up a single speed and can’t remember my last ratio.

    2:1 is the norm but depends on where you ride, how fit/strong your legs are, etc.

    yeah I have read that but I normally ride chilterns which i reckon would be fine at that ratio, just a need to carry momentum a little better. does anyone ride that ratio

    I’m planning to run that when I put my new wheel on. Run 32:16 at the moment, but tbh where I’m riding the ss is pretty flat. for anything more challenging I always run 32:16.

    I use 32:11 round inners.

    Yes I’ve ridden that on trails in/around chilterns, as you say keep momentum up and if your reasonably fit its ok. I have switched to the more traditional 32:16 now just to give me a bit more flexibility

    i run 32×16 which is the norm, when i had a 29er it was 33×18
