3 Peaks Tech Question Re Chain Device

For this year's 3 peaks I'm going to run a single 36 chain ring with a 34 /11 at the back. Only trouble is, due to it's length, the chain is prone to jump off in the higher gears. Think I need a simple (plus cheap) chain device – any thoughts please ?
