3 day break…..to spoil the wife?

looking for somewhere nice to take my good lady, in november.
3 nights, warm, relaxing, nice eating, and hopefully some nice ale.

any idea’s greatly appreciated.

Rome? Barcelona? Verona? Often cheap flights to be had if it’s not half term, all will be warm and can be as relaxing as you see fit. Nice ale might be a challenge though.

Amsterdam? It may not be warm but you can get a tram everywhere. Beer’s good, cheap flights, option of something a little herbal.
Porto’s an option too though I’ve never been, meant to be stunning.

Not exceptionally warm but Vienna is great for a city break. Plenty of walking or sitting in cafes and fine ale though.

Was in Varkiza, Athens about 10 days ago. 29 degrees max didn’t sound that hot, but it felt loverly 🙂 Pretty chilled area and all the touristy crap you could never want is just a bus ride away.

For something a bit different, with all the benefits of Italy but the effectiveness/efficiency of teh swiss – Lugano is rather nice. Close to Milan airport.

Porto’s an option too though I’ve never been, meant to be stunning.

Porto’s lovely, but very hilly and you’ll be walking everywhere. A long warm weekend in November means (to me) south Spain / Canaries / Madeira.

I’m doing the same with the other half late November for 4 days. I chose Ortygia (the posh bit of Syracuse in Sicily) mainly as it’s just a bit different to the usual city destinations and will not have closed up like some resort towns plus it has great food and there are a couple of craft beer places and a daily food market (self catering and love to cook)

some of them are ruinously expensive, but probs no more than abroad if you take in flights and euro exchange! They’re all all in lovely spots and well appointed etc etc.
