So i currently have a 140mm TALAS fork on my Cove HJ with a 515mm A2C.

    Salsa CroMoto fork comes in:
    26″ 445mm A2C & 41mm rake
    29″ 468mm A2C & 45mm rake

anyone see any geometry problems with running the 29er CroMoto fork?

I’ve just fitted the x-lite 29er forks to a Transition TransAM for the sane reason. Had 440 forks on and 30mm of spacers and the bb was far too low. New forks are 470mm and no spacers, so bars are in the same place, but the bb is up and the head angle is back where it should be. Unfortunately I’ve not been out on it yet, but it should be a much better ride.

Kind of; I had a Kona P2 on a Dialled PA with a 29″ front wheel. Again, a bike suited to 140mm travel. It worked well with the big wheel and seemed slack set up as such. It looked a bit tall with a 26″ in the 29″ fork but that may well be a visual thing.

It’ll work obviously, but whether you like the feel is quite personal. I’d stick a 29″ wheel in there, it feels quite good.

Running Exotic 465mm on an Inbred.
Previously had a set of 26″ On One rigids, and much prefer the more laid back riding position the bigger forks have given me.
