    Where on earth do I get such a thing? – at a reasonable price.

    After years of me nagging, SWMBO has listened and tried with a higher seat. Only now she’s decided it needs to go even higher (and corrrectly so), but the seat post is a measly 300mm and at its full extension!

    I’ve a got s spare 26.8 kicking about, roughly 50mm longer I guess I could shim it? it that ok? might be odd sizes to/from. any ideas?

    Kalloy are a budget brand that do 29.8mm posts. US based probably so try Jenson USA. Thompson make them too.. but not reasonably priced.

    I may be able to get a Kalloy tomorrow in work, if you want i’ll check in the morning. The rep comes in late morning and delivers mid afternoon, so if they have any then it could be sent out for Friday delivery. Call me on 02920371321 if you’re interested.

    oh… did you all see the edit to my thread. it’s a 29.2 I need, not a 29.8 as in the original posting.
