….search engine only showing up the expensive boutique wheel build people.

Or any other 35mm lightweight rim wheelbuild of course…. doesn’t have to be Blunts. Assuming 35mm is the optimum for a 2.5 to 3 inch tyre these days?

Keep Pedalling and PT Cycles do them.

Easton Arc Plus 29+ rims in 35mm width are still available from CRC for only £40. They’re also on clearance, so a pair is only £70.

Use the money you save on those rims to pay a good wheelbuilder to build them up.

Got my rims from Just Riding Along in Sheffield. Could also try Brick Lane Bikes as they are Velocity UK distributors. 3 years on, they’re still sweet.

I picked up a pair of Duallies from wiggle last weekend for £49 each.

Already runone and its proven to be bombproof.

Also picked up some Arcs too.

JRA have built several of my plus/fat wheels but at £49/£39 ea I’ll use my LBS to build them up.

Got mine from Brick Lane, some 2nd hand (unused)hope hubs and local wheel build. Worked out cheaper than buying mid-range off the shelf.
3 years on still sweet and true!
