    Hello,

I’ve got a Orbea Loki 27.5 plus bike on order, should be with me next week 🙂

The 40mm rims say they are tubeless ready. Apart from a valuve core, what else will I need?

I have only tubelessed normal tyres and have used stans tape.

    Thanks
    Simon

Should be the same – doesn’t have to be wide tape so long as it covers the spoke holes.

May be a bit harder to pump up (due to the extra volume) if you’re not using a compressor etc.

Wtb do some wider tape if you want it, crc have some. Airshot helps as well.

If you want to be super sure then 5 wraps of cling film then insert tubeless valve and it will be bomb proof.I used inverted gaffer tape for my ghetto fatty followed by the cling film, its good down to circa 5psi 😀

If the rims say tubeless ready they should already be taped . Converted my Beast of the East which came with ready taped rims . I used Stans valves , half a pint of sealant in each and they went straight up and have stayed up . Saved 1lb in weight as the tubes weighed 1lb each.
