So I’m running a full fat 26″ bike, width isn’t an issue.
Having listened into many FATBIKE.com pod casts I’m considering converting to 27.5+ as an all round wheel size. Scale up to 4″ fat for winter / wet slop…scale down to 3″ for summer dust (ahem)
I currently have a 29+ wheel set for summer but my materialistic head is saying that a scalable 27.5+ wheel set will be the answer to all my worries!!!
I’m therefore interested in comparing various tyre diameters on other wheel sizes.
My 26 fat set up is now running on 65mm LB carbon rims although I ran 80mm for a while. Wheel diameters are as follows.
4.8 Buds on 65mm: 760mm
4.8 JJ on 65mm: 756mm
3.8 Hodag 0n 80mm: 740mm
My 29+ set up I’m running 50mm LB carbon rims
3.25 Vee Bulldozer: 773mm
Does anyone have any real world diameters for 27.5+ rims and tyres?
