    Hi,

I’ve just inherited some brand new 26″ wheels with a 142 rear so I thought it a good opportunity to build another bike.

Any one any ideas on 26″ hard tail with 142 rear that runs 150/160 fork, ideally steel but its not a deal breaker.

Got to have a dropper and be avail in Oz.

Yeah Shan comes to mind here too, pricey though.

Do the hubs on these wheels offer any interchangeable standards like Hope, Superstar etc do?….only the Dartmoor Hornet is both 26 and 27.5 but has a 135 x 12mm rear end and is less than £200 brand new.

If you can pop the hub ends off to change them to 135mm you’ll have a far larger choice….in fact if you’ve inherited them and not had to spend anything i’d order some Tesla hubs from Superstar and get your LBS to rebuild the wheels with hubs that can then be changed to any rear end standard in a blink (150mm DH being the exception), that would still be a fairly cheap option and get my vote.

Have Teslas stopped being the worst hubs on the planet?

Mine are Tesla Evos and have been fine so far, didn’t know they had a poor reputation.
In that case to the OP get some Hope hubs!

‘New’ Evil Sovereign (seemingly same as old Sov, just with 142mm dropouts).
