    I'm trying to advise a friend on what she needs to be looking for in an introductory mountain bike. She's ready to move on from her £150 Halfords Special.
    Starting with the classifieds and eBay, but where else? If you have some other bright ideas, do tell.

    At this price point, realistically, specifically, which bikes could / should she look for?

    Carrera vulcan ladies £250 all in my mrs loved hers.

    Ti29er, try local bike shops too, leisure lakes often have a few trade in bikes at decent prices.

    ive got a cracking little hardtail my daughter has grown out of, going to take pics and put an ad up on here tomorrow. let me know if you want an email while im at it.
