Firstly it is now up to £2000 from £1750 and all you get extra is an XT chainset from what I can see.

And I think they have got the colours wrong as they are not as good as this years.

    Opinions?

I notice they don't state the brakes and the forks are now 120mm rather than the special 130mm from this year.

2010 has the DRCV shock so that you get a coil like spring rate but with the weight and tune-ability of an air shock, a stiffer and lighter front end and an upgraded chainset.

Considering we are being told that bike prices are going to go up from 2009 to 2010 then the fact that the bike will ride better and has upgraded kit should make it a bit easier to stomach.

I think they seems pretty decent value for money considering what Lapierre etc are charging. Whats the rough weight on one of these, I am considering my options.

    Cheers

Got any info in the 2010 EX9?

I had an 08 EX9 in white which looked the nuts but it was replaced under warranty for a not so good looking silver 2009 frame. I'm due another replacement and was hoping the 2010 model would look better, that if I can get one

    kimbers,

kona doesn't have floating bottom shock mount or pivot at rear axle point.

    so not same design.

yes bike bears passing resemblance – It has 2 wheels, fork, linkage, shock….
