My last bike had the FIT cartridge (32 Float RL on a 2010 Zesty) and i also didn’t think much of it. It did seem better on the very long and rocky descents i encountered in France (and down Snowdon) but during ‘normal’ riding they didn’t seem anywhere near as good as my open bath RL forks on my hardtail (also Float RL)!
I had the upper crown assembly replaced under warranty due to creaking from the steerer tube/crown interface (actually returned to Mojo because i found the bushing tolerances to be unacceptable!). They said the bushing play was within Fox’s guidelines though. The FIT forks were the ONLY ones i have had with that much play in the bushes, having owned numerous sets over the last few years.
