Right a couple of odd ones-

1- I'm planning on going 10 speed and just running a new shifter/cassette/chain but the word on the street is that the cable pull ratio on Shimano 10 speed is different. Can anyone confirm this? Obviously this means I'll need a new mech if it's not the old 2:1.

2- I've ripped the seam on the arse of my Endura waterproof shell shorts (which I've not been overly impressed with). My mum's a dressmaker so I can get it sewn back up if I send them to her, but how to I retain the seam's waterproofing? I assume there's some taping available that'll do the job.
