As above really, im ordering a new 32T 1x chainring from OnOne, but they don’t know whether i’ll need new bolts or not. What is the score please folks?

I just fitted a Faceface 30th one, turned out it was threaded so i used the smaller bolts of my 2×10 chain rings, worked perfect

What setup have you got now? Triple, double, double with bash?

No. I moved from an xt double to single on-one ringmaster and just swapped them over. Put the granny ring bolts back in to stop crap getting in the holes. Check out the pic on my blog.

On a ht of the XC variety is a clutch mech essential?

Not essential IME but a really good idea. (I’ve forgotten to switch mine on a couple of times after working on the bike, it makes more noise but the chain stayed on- I think it’d come off sooner or later)

Yep, might as well do it properly!

I haven’t got one and it hasn’t come off yet.

Clutch is a very good idea. SLX is great IMO. I used the bolts from my double set up without issue.
