decided to go tubeless. 3 punctures in 3 rides made me decide.
which is the best kit to buy, or is the diy option any good?

Superstar valves and rim tape has worked for me with Stans jizz.

Don’t skimp on tyres, non tubeless tyres might inflate but will the sidewalls last under load at speed.

Depends on what rims and tyres you’ve got.
I’ve gone tubeless on the rims that came on the Bizango (1 win, Tucker’s prize bingo rims). The joke Maxxis tyres that came on it wouldn’t have it.
Got some tubeless ready Contis, and used my old 26er Stans rim strips. They went up with the ghetto inflator, but didn’t like it up ’em.
    They are still up, though.

Not had any issue with non TR or UST Maxxis, the Exo’s versions are a current favourite.

Simply stans tape (or other) round the rim, a valve and some sealant for me.

New rubber works better than old, clean everything properly and a compressor helps if it can deliver high volumes quickly.

Any tyre that hasn’t got a really thin sidewall has worked for me.

I managed it just fine using SS tape and valves, Stans fluid, Maxxis tyres and a floor pump, and watched the Stans video first.
