I went through the halfords bike to work scheme this week too. The best (IMO) specd bike I could find in the scheme for a grand was the Dolan le etape with sram rival group set.

It should arrive hopefully at the end of the week & I can’t wait!

Not yet, Last week I was given a 2 week build time and it’s still “processing” according to the order sheet.

Fingers crossed for this time next week.

The voucher came through today so I’ve just ordered a SRAM Rival equipped Dolan – also managed to get some ultegra carbon pedals from OnOnes sale for £80 for it and some nice Mavic road shoes.

Looking at Scruff9252 comment above – I should expect it to arrive at some point in Jan / Feb 2014…. I hope its worth the wait.

Scruff9252 – have you paid the £50 admin fees Dolan asks for, how/when did they contact you?

I’ve not paid anything yet, I have been told that someone will contact me a week ago, by not heard anything further. I’m guessing I will be contacted as the bike is ready to be dispatched…

Just got a call from Dolan, paid my £50 admin and the bike will be delivered to my local Halfords on Friday – just in time for Christmas.

I am just about to order the planet x RT57 – full carbon, Shimano 105 groupset and RS10 wheelset. This is the upgrade on my Orbea road bike and a christmas present to myself.

I can recommend getting a crudcatcher roadguard (or whatever the bloody name is) to save you from winter grit/grime etc.

Picked up the Dolan thus evening – looks nice in the dark. Will have my first ride tomorrow. ……

Only been for a quick blast around the block in between showers but its pretty nice – def the best bike on the halfords scheme.
