    went to the bank a few months back and handed over £300+ in those coins, the joy it brought to the staffs boring saturday morning…. or i think that is what the expression meant….

    Barclays have auto coin counters, just poor in your unsorted coins at it credits your account. Last time mine was over £150

    HSBC have them in some branches.
    free, unless they somehow ‘lose’ your money and refuse to accept that you put any in.

    i have old whisky boxs/tubes full of currency …

    basically anytime i have coins in my pocket i stick them in these tubs – there is a fair chunk of euros , dollars , CFA , NZ dollars , dubai funny money.

    maybe worth a countso – been there for a couple of years now , just keep starting new ones haha
