As my wife is expecting twins and I'm predicting that I'll need to be spending the money I was saving to make the Squareback into a stunning car on the 5,110 Nappies I'm going to have to buy in the 1st year. She's going to have to go for something with Airbags , decent seatbelts and an exhaust note that doesn't wake the 2 screaming terrorists up.
She's in pretty good condition for a 40 year old car, some rust in the usual places, however is still fairly solid and would be classed as an easy restoration.
I've been using her as a daily driver and apart from a small misfire, which I believe I've sorted she has not missed a beat.
Mileage is genuine from new and I have all the MOT certs to prove it, plus a big file of receipts going back to when she was first bought. I also have the original bill of sale and owners manual.
She's been lowered so you get to know where all the big bumps are, but she still rides comfortably. The back seats also load flat and you can get at least 2 bikes in there.
There's a whole load more pics here PICS
She's currently in Guernsey, we don't have MOT's over here so doesn't have one, although she'd just been tested when I bought her at the end of last year.
I realise this doesn't make it easy for someone to just pop around to have a look so I'll take pics of whatever you need to see. Just email me markleesmith "at" yahoo "dot" co "dot" uk or If you want a chat about the car give me a call on 07839 264819.
If you do decide you want to have a look before you part with your cash, then I'm prepared to pay for a return flight from Gatwick to Guernsey, for 1 Person IF you buy the car for the asking price. If you have to stay overnight I might even sort out some accommodation as well.
Shipping to Portsmouth can be arranged for 100ish quid.
I'm asking GBP3,500.
I'm gutted to have to be selling her and if I could afford to keep her I would, but have you seen the price of nappies these days?
