Single ply 2.35 minion and highroller @ 30psi on the rear, with a schwalbe DH tube.
They're my "XC" tyres, so don't get as good of a thrashing as my "DH" tyres, but they're used readily for peaks. Had problems when i used lower pressures, but 30psi is about right for me.
But then you gotta bare in mind riding styles, weight, suspension and technique.
Why not do the same as me and im sure others, if you're going on a longer ride, use the single plys and maybe not attempt monster trucking so much, then use dual plys on rides where you know you'll want to let rip.
Also rim width plays a factor in pinch flats, wider rim generally means less pinching.
You also got to bare in mind that you're tubeless too, less support for the tyre, so the tyre will have less resistance to deforming leading to pinching. Your tubeless 35-40psi will be moulding to the ground more easily than a equivalent pressured tubed counterpart and should be giving more grip. Are you saying you need <30psi for grip based on your tubed experience?
