I feel like I’m being a numpty but would appreciate some help please?

I’ve just bought my first bike with an Maxle front and rear, but I can’t work out how to remove the rear, please can someone explain?

unwind the handle

Depends on the maxle.

Stanard one (handle in the middle of a slotted circle), flip the handle to the open way, engage it in the slot in the outer circle and unwind.

Ultimate (Handle on the side of the axle ‘head’), undo like a normal QR, and then unwind.

Some thru axels ( like the one on Transition bikes) don’t have a Handle you need to use a Allen key.

Thanks guys, I’m pretty sure mine is a regular Rockshox Maxle as no amount of unwinding seemed to do anything
